Baby Cashmere comes from the undercoat of young Hircus goat kids, sheared only once in the animal's life and yielding roughly 30 grams of usable fiber per animal — a diameter of just 13.5 microns, among the finest of any textile fiber in use. For men, that scarcity translates into cardigans, scarves, gloves, beanies, hoodies, jackets, and fine knitwear, each piece worked with the same care given to any material this limited in supply. The fiber's diameter is what determines its particular softness against the skin, a quality that has nothing to do with finishing treatments and everything to do with the source itself.
